形态描述：常绿草本状小半灌木，高10-20(-25)厘米；根茎细长，有分枝，生不定根及地上茎。叶3-4(-5)，轮生或近轮生于地上茎下部，一般有1-2轮，薄革质，长圆状卵形，长2.2-3.7厘米，宽1.4-2.6厘米，先端急尖，基部近圆形，边缘有圆齿，上面绿色，下面淡绿色；叶柄较短，长1-1.5厘米。花葶细，上部有疏细小疣，下部近光滑，有1-3枚小形鳞片状叶，卵状披针形，长（2-）4-8毫米。总状花序长2.5-4.5厘米，有8-15花，密生，偏向一侧；花序轴有细小疣；花水平倾斜，或下部花半下垂，花冠卵圆形或近钟形，较小，直径约4.5-5毫米，淡绿白色；花梗长约3-3.2毫米，有密细小疣，腋间有膜质苞片，阔披针形或卵状披针形，长5-5.5毫米，宽1.2-1.5毫米，先端短渐尖；萼片卵圆形或阔三角形，长1-1.2毫米，基部宽0.9-1毫米，先端圆钝，边缘有小齿；花瓣长圆形，长4-4.5毫米，宽2-2.5毫米，基部有2小突起，边缘有小齿；雄蕊10，花丝细长，花药长1.5-1.8毫米，宽0.6-0.9毫米，顶孔裂，无小角，有细小疣，黄色；在柱直立，长5-5.5毫米，伸出花冠，先端无环状突起，柱头肥大，5浅裂。蒴果近扁球形，直径4.5-6毫米。花期 7月；果期7-8月。
